As the owner and founder of Nestletosh Property Service I wanted to give you some insight into our company. For twenty years, I have been involved in the real estate field in sales, construction, development, design and property management. In the late 1990's, as a property manager, I first  learned of the lead program in the State of Maryland, now commonly referred to as the MDE ( Maryland Department of the Environment ).  In 2002, MDE filed a complaint concerning several properties in Western Maryland which were not in compliance with current MDE regulations.  These properties, managed by my employer were given written notice of a potential fine that could be well over $100,000.00. In August 2002 court action had begun.  The Maryland attorney general had filed suit against the management company for a fine of $45,000.00.  Subsequently, I  negotiated with MDE, and on December 13, 2002 reached a settlement with the attorney general to settle this case for $3,500.00.  This settlement was reached without an attorney and without going to court.

It was apparent that the Lead Program was here to stay and that the enforcement of the lead laws by the State of Maryland was about to become a major dilemma for property owners and managers. The laws have become progressively stricter and MDE enforcement increasingly prevalent.

Therefore, I decided to start a new company to provide lead inspections and guidance for those owners and managers encumbered by these new regulations. 

When we started our company we held licenses for VISUAL INSPECTOR and INSPECTOR TECHNICIAN . Nestletosh Property Service in the past year has added the following accreditations, RISK ASSESSMENT and SUPERVISOR MAINTENANCE & REPAINTING. In October  2005 we added  the accreditation of  WATER TESTING and LEAD ABATEMENT SUPERVISOR to our list .
